The BioVill project and the Macedonian target village Kichevo were presented as a conference paper at the 1st Latin American SDEWES Conference that took place on 31st January 2018 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The paper is titled “Techno-economical, social and environmental assessment of biomass based district heating in a bioenergy village”. Athours of the conference paper are members of SDEWES-Skopje and the BioVill project coordinator of the GIZ. Natasha Markovska (SDEWES-Skopje) gave an oral presentation of the paper before the scientific community and used the opportunity to discuss renewable heating solutions in small settlements, even in hot Rio.
