Every year the World Sustainable Energy Days (WSED) draws several hundreds of participants from over 50 countries to Wels, Austria. This year’s WSED was no exception with more than 600 participants from 66 countries in attendance!

Two BioVill team members had the great honour of presenting at the WSED during the Young Biomass Researchers Conference on Thursday, 1 March 2018. Ms. Shruti Athavale, an energy expert from the Austrian Energy Agency (AEA), held a presentation on the benefits of establishing regional bioenergy concepts in Southeast Europe. Ms. Valerija Vrček Habazin,  project leader in North-West Croatia Regional Energy Agency (REGEA), followed this presentation with a complementary presentation on the best practices related to the implementation of a biomass district heating project in Croatia.
